Ikon Announces 2021-22 Passes, Retains COVID Adventure Assurance

Earlier today, Alterra released the Ikon Pass product suite for the 2021-22 season. Prices and policies remain similar to this year’s passes, although Crystal drops from unlimited to 5-day access on the Ikon Base Pass. Sales start March 11.

Reservation Restrictions Lifted at Several Ikon Resorts

Access to Aspen/Snowmass, Brighton, Crystal, and Winter Park is now completely reservation-free. Parking reservations have been completely eliminated at Killington and Pico, while these restrictions have been considerably relaxed at Copper, Eldora, and Snowbird.

Vail Resorts Announces 2021-22 Epic Pass Suite, Cutting All Prices by 20%

Earlier today, Vail Resorts announced its suite of pass products for the 2021-22 winter season. All Epic Pass products have received a 20% price drop compared to last season, and a new entry-level Epic Day Pass has been introduced.

Last Day to Defer 2020-21 Ikon Pass to 2021-22

Tomorrow, April 11, 2021, is the last day for 2020-21 Ikon Pass holders who did not use their pass this season to defer the credit to the 2021-22 season. Credits will start appearing in passholder accounts on April 19.

Last Day to Purchase 2021-22 Mountain Collective Pass With Early-Bird Discount and Third Bonus Day

Today is the last day Mountain Collective is offering its 2021-22 passes at the lowest rate and with a bonus third day at one selected resort. This year’s prices go up nearly four months earlier than 2020-21 passes, which did not increase in price until September 1.

This modestly-sized mountain doesn’t have the refinement to compete with the destinations, but it’s hard to beat for the challenge and value in southern Vermont.

Bolton Valley

This Vermont mountain is too small and undeveloped to compete with the state’s most popular destinations, but its combination of local, uncrowded slopes and strong natural snowfall may do the trick for some.

Bromley

While much smaller and less diverse than Vermont’s major destinations, this local-feeling hill will satisfy families thanks to easy navigation and low crowds.

Mount Snow

This popular resort delivers a lot for southern Vermont but struggles to handle crowds in some areas.

Okemo

This family-friendly mountain boasts modern lifts and a wide variety of groomers, but expert terrain is lacking. Crowding has gotten worse in recent seasons.

Ancient lifts and lackluster resiliency measures hold back a staple of the northern Vermont skiing scene.

Pico

This central Vermont mountain gets overshadowed by bigger competitors, but it offers decent terrain and an escape from the crowds.
