Last Day to Defer 2020-21 Ikon Pass to 2021-22
Updated:
October 13, 2024
Tomorrow, April 11, 2021, is the last day for 2020-21 Ikon Pass holders who did not use their pass this season to defer the credit to the 2021-22 season. Credits will start appearing in passholder accounts on April 19. Those eligible must wait for the credit to post to use it on purchasing a new pass, and credits cannot be retroactively used on already-purchased 2021-22 products.
Passholders can find more information on the deferral processhere.
Our Take
While most Ikon resorts remained open for the entire season, we imagine that many who decided not to travel due to COVID concerns or state-mandated restrictions will have taken the deferral option. If you’re eligible, this deferral option is a must-do—pass prices are generally the same as (or very slightly higher than) last season, and there’s very little reason to forego a pass for next year if you’ve essentially paid for it already.
Since pass credits won’t post until at least April 19, 2021-22 deferrers will technically miss access to the first few weeks of spring skiing at some resorts. However, since these customers haven’t used their pass at all this year, we imagine most will probably be okay with that.
