Ratings Re-Adjustment: Deer Valley Facilities Score
Updated:
October 13, 2024
Here at PeakRankings, it’s not every day that we walk back a ratings recalibration. But after careful consideration, we’ve decided to renege on a change we previously made toDeer Valley’s facilities score.
We originally dropped the resort’s score in this category after visitingSun ValleyandSnowbasin, both of which boast physical on-mountain lodges that are a leg above those at every other resort we’ve reviewed, including Deer Valley. In making the original decision, we also weighed the fact that select Deer Valley resort areas are quite far away from practical facilities. However, Deer Valley stands alone with its ski valet services and unparalleled hospitality, and despite some shortcomings, we feel this is not adequately reflected in the current score. Therefore, we’ve decided to bump Deer Valley’s facilities score back from an 8 to a 9.
With these adjustments, Deer Valley remainsranked 5th in Utahbut jumps toa tie for 18th in the Rockies and23nd overall.
