Ikon Allows 20/21 Season Passholders to Defer to 21/22
Updated:
October 13, 2024
This evening, we received an email from Ikon alerting passholders that all 20/21 season passes will now have “Adventure Assurance”. Adventure Assurance will allow passholders to defer the use of their pass until the 21/22 season. This offer will be valid regardless of when the pass is purchased and applies to those who already have bought 20/21 passes. Passholders will be able to choose to defer their pass between September 10 and December 10.

Our Take
This is an extreme relief for those looking to buy an Ikon Pass for next season but worried that part or all of the season would be cancelled due to COVID-19. We believe a number of people will now feel more confident purchasing an Ikon Pass for next season. Some will likely complain because purchasers only have the option to defer until December 10, but we feel it’s likely that we’ll have a good idea of the risk involved by then.
