Arapahoe Basin to Continue Limiting Tickets and Passes Post-COVID
Updated:
October 13, 2024
Prospective Arapahoe Basin guests should prepare for limited access again next season, says COO Al Henceroth. The resort will only release a limited number of unrestricted season passes for 2021-22, and 10% fewer passes will be available than this season. Lift ticket sales will continue to be limited and sold online only—Henceroth says the resort anticipates “selling out of weekend lift tickets on a regular basis.”
Our Take
Arapahoe Basin’s crowd flow has already seen significant improvements since the move from unlimited Epic access to limited Ikon access, and we imagine the move to permanently restrict ticket and pass sales will further enhance things. We look forward to revisiting A-Basin next season, which already earns an impressive crowd flow score in our rankings.
With this move, we agree with the resort and expect weekend tickets to sell out quickly. If you plan on booking a trip here next season, make sure to do so well ahead of time. In addition, check out ourcomprehensive mountain review.
